Dimensions 7 cm × 9 cm, 1 sheet per packProduct Introduction:
This PVDF membrane (polyvinylidene fluoride) features excellent mechanical strength, making it an ideal solid-phase support for protein blotting applications.
As a hydrophobic membrane, PVDF is available in various pore sizes, with smaller pores providing stronger binding capacity for lower molecular weight proteins. Standard pore sizes include 0.1 μm, 0.2 μm, 0.45 μm, and 1.0 μm.
The 0.45 μm PVDF membrane is specifically designed for:
Western Blotting (proteins >20 kDa)
Adsorption analysis
Amino acid analysis
N-terminal protein sequencing
Dot/slot blots
Lipopolysaccharide analysis
Specifications:
Pore size: 0.45 μm
Dimensions: 7 × 9 cm
Package content: 10 sheets/pack
Each membrane is suitable for transferring proteins from one standard-sized gel

Instructions for Use
Pore Size Selection Guidelines:
For proteins with molecular weight >20 kDa, we recommend using membranes with 0.45 μm pores.
For proteins with molecular weight <20 kDa, membranes with 0.2 μm pores are preferred.
PVDF Membrane Activation:
Prior to use, activate the PVDF membrane by immersing it in methanol or ethanol for 20 seconds.
This pretreatment exposes positively charged groups on the membrane surface, enhancing its binding affinity for negatively charged proteins.
